西北联大和华北大学都对新中国的高等教育发展产生了重大且深远的影响，为中国高等教育史增添了灿烂光辉的篇章。她们的共同点都是在战火中筹办、创立和发展，都是由多所院校合并而来，并成为所在区域的最高等学府，为民族独立和民族解放培养了一批优秀人才，共同推进了新中国高等教育的布局及发展。办学过程中，两所高校形成了各自特点。西北联大重视对西北地区政治、经济和文化方面的考察研究，华北大学的一大特点就是在教育教学中把马克思列宁主义基本理论为指导放在第一位，强调为人民服务，注重教育与生产劳动相结合。
A Comparative Study between Northwest United University and North China University

Abstract:
Both Northwest United University and North China University have had a significant and profound impact on the development of higher education in New China, and have added a brilliant chapter to the history of Higher education in China. What they have in common is that they were organized, established and developed in the war period. They were all merged by several universities and became the top universities in their regions. They trained a group of outstanding talents for national independence and liberation and jointly promoted the layout and development of new China’s higher education. In the process of running schools, the two universities have formed their own characteristics. Northwest United University attaches great importance to the investigation and research of the politics, economy and culture of the northwest region. One of the major characteristics of North China University is that it gives priority to the basic theory of Marxism-Leninism in its education and teaching, emphasizes serving the people, and pays attention to the combination of education and productive labor.
