环境问题古已有之，近代以来，环境问题日渐严重而颇受社会各界关注。徐建平教授等人所著《中国环境史》（近代卷）展示了近代中国环境变迁的历程。全书运用跨学科研究方法，尝试整体环境史研究视域，探究近代环境对自然以及社会相互关系的演变特征，在某种程度上为中国环境史研究提供了一种新视角。
A New Attempt to Study Modern Environmental History in China——Review on Environmental History of China (Modern Volume)

Abstract:
Environmental problems have existed since ancient times, which has become increasingly serious and has attracted attention from all walks of life in modern times. Environmental History of China (Modern Volume) written by Professor Xu Jian-ping of Hebei Normal University and others shows the course of environmental changes in modern China. By using interdisciplinary research methods, the book attempts to explore the perspective of the overall environmental history research and explore the evolutionary characteristics of the modern environment in relation to nature and society. To some extent, it provides a new perspective for the study of Chinese environmental history.
