Abstract:
Since the end of the Qing Dynasty, under the influence of modern Western legal culture, the lawyer profession is gradually known to the Chinese people and endowed with the social status of “noble profession”. However, with the awakening of lawyers’ self-awareness, they began to question this kind of given identity, and through the analysis of lawyers’ professional culture, they reconstructed their identity, collective identity and social identity. The process of modern lawyers reshaping their identity is not only the reflective practice of lawyers on their profession, but also the self-reexamination and positioning of lawyers. It is also an important path for the development of lawyers in modern times.
