1924年3月，保定女二师学生为反抗校长燕世奇的压迫摧残，爆发了罢课学潮。中国共产党早期的妇女刊物《妇女周报》及受到共产党影响、具有革命倾向的《妇女日报》，对此次学潮给予了舆论上的援助。它们或报导消息，或发表评论文章，对于宣传党的妇女运动的方针政策，引导女学生参加反帝反军阀的国民革命以及推动学潮尽快解决，都起到了积极作用。
Women's Newspapers and the Student Strike of Baoding Second Women's Normal School in 1924

Abstract:
In March 1924, a student strike broke out in Baoding Second Women's Normal School in order to resist the oppression of the president Yan Shi-qi. The Women's Weekly, an early women's publication of the Communist Party of China, and the Women's Daily which was influenced by the Communist Party and revolution-oriented, gave public opinion to support the student strike. They either reported news or published commentary articles, which played a positive role in promoting the Party's principles and policies on women's movement, guiding female students to participate in the national revolution against imperialism and warlords, and promoting the rapid resolution of the student strike.
