1924年11月5日，冯玉祥驱逐逊帝溥仪出宫，之后成立的清室善后委员会点查清宫物品，分清公产、私产，为故宫成为博物院奠定了基础。1925年10月10日故宫博物院的成立是中国博物馆事业走上正轨的开端。故宫博物院的发展历程充满坎坷和波折，故宫文物南迁创造了第二次世界大战中保护人类文化遗产的奇迹。郑欣淼著《天府永藏——两岸故宫博物院文物藏品概述》对故宫文物的聚合、流散和回归作了清晰的叙述，理清了两座故宫博物院皇家旧藏的来龙去脉与现状，全面论述了两岸故宫博物院文物来源、构成、流播、现状、分类、数量及相关史实。"故宫学"直接面对故宫的文物、古建筑、档案、文献等，是一门把故宫当做一个文化整体的综合研究。故宫的价值从故宫学的视野来重新审视，会有全新的认识。
The Palace Museum and Gugong Studies

Abstract:
A special committee to deal with the concerns of the deposed Qing imperial family was set up after Feng Yuxiang expelled the abdicated Emperor Puyi out of the Forbidden City on November 5,1924. The committee began a sorting and counting of the treasure trove left by the Qing court and claimed the items to be the public property or the private property,which laid the foundation for the Palace Museum. On October 10,1925,The Palace Museum was established as a mark of the Chinese museum undertakings getting to develop along a right track.Its development history is full of twists and turns.The southward evacuation of relics of the Imperial Palace created a miracle in protecting the human cultural heritage in World War Ⅱ.In the monograph Tianfu Rare Treasure:An Overview of Relics from Both Palace Museums Across Taiwan Straits by Zheng Xinmiao,the aggregation,diaspora and regression of the cultural relics in the Palace Museum were clearly narrated,sorting out the ins and outs with the status quo of the Royal collection of the two Palace Museums,making a comprehensive discussion of the origin,formation, dissemination,present condition,classification,quantity and relevant historical facts.Gugong studies is a comprehensive study of the Forbidden City as a cultural whole,directly facing the Forbidden City relics, ancient buildings,archives and documents.There will be a new understanding of the value of the Palace Museum from the perspective of Gugong Studies.
