摘要：
石家庄随着市自治进程的展开，1925年更名为石门市。目前大多数论者都以为，这是囡石家庄人口尚未达到市自治规定标准，所以与周边休门村合并，此后各取村名一字，改称石门。根据原始档案发现，改名并非因申办普通市自治人口不够，新兴城区早在实施市自治前就与周边村庄组合在一起，地方绅商为了使市自治名称与当地警区名称相符，决定采用当地警区的称谓。石门警察厅的名称出现在前，石门市自治筹备处的名称效仿在后。
New Explanation to the Reason for Shij iazhuang Renamed as Shimen in 1925

Abstract:
With the commencement of the autonomy process Shijiazhuang was renamed as Shimen City in 1925.Most scholars think that Shijiazhuang's population then not yet reached the autonomy required standards,SO it was combined with the surrounding Xiumen Village and renamed Shimen by taking one word from each name of the two villages.According tO the original file,renaming of Shimen was not because of the insufficient population for ordinary municipal autonomy required standards.The emerging city areas were combined together with the surrounding villages before the municipal autonomy.The local merchants decided to adopt the 1ocal district name in order to make the city name coincide with the name of the local police district.The name of Shimen Police Department was earlier than the name of Shimen Municipal Autonomy.
